EXPERIMENTAL EQUIPMENT
In-operando characterization
Two-point electrical characterization can be performed in dual beam FESEM-FIB equipped with two micromanipulators (Kleindiek Nanotechnik) with tungsten tips, which are exploited to establish voltage bias to the previously deposited conductive contacts (in-situ by electron or ion beam deposition of Pt, or ex-situ with the assistance of the EBL applied for the definition of the contacts position).
In-operando TEM
In-operando TEM heating and electrical biasing holder allows nano-scale investigations of materials and nano-electronic devices during dedicated or simultaneous biasing and heating studies. This includes morphological, structural and compositional analysis.
Ad-hoc devices can be produced on the commercially available e-chips with the use of the EBL, FIB and appropriate metal deposition procedures.
